I couldn’t stop after reading the first few stories,…. Each of them was like “oh this is so me!” – totally relatable stories.
I felt finally someone has taken up the initiative of penning these experiences of modern parenthood. I am not aware if this topic has been explored before by other authors or not. But I at least, haven’t read any or heard of any. Kudos for taking it up!
Style of writing: I thought it was very simple, sweet, emotive and flowing.
Best stories : for me were the “family way” story and “new born mother”. More than anything I loved their more upbeat, positive and clearer endings.

Another thing I loved was the “honesty”  in the characters, in the stories, in the situations, in their feelings, in style of writing as well.

This book is an honest take on modern day couples’ journey through parenthood. The author has very cleverly put across both sides perspectives so sensitively, that the reader grapples with the paradox of the situations.

The vividly described stories paint a picture in the mind of the reader that it felt like watching a movie. For a visual person like me, this was a treat. A must read for young parents who truly are “Lost in Wilderness” as they are thrust into parenthood with little or no preparation.

Sneak Preview : Story – Duped by Life

Arya was still asleep on her bed. Bhagya was now seething with fury. It was one of those few days of the month when her hormones dictated terms to her.

“Arya, have you not woken up yet? You are definitely going to be late for school today. And, you are going to make me late for office. Even if I have to take you to school in your pajamas, I will do it!” a furious Bhagya yelled.

The yelling had its usual effect. Arya woke up with a start and began to bawl. It was going to be one of those days for an already-harried Bhagya.

“My little angel, you are such a good girl,” cooed Bhagya, trying desperately to calm her wailing daughter, who only thought it fit to upgrade her wailing into a big tantrum, refusing to bath, wear her uniform, or tidy her hair.

“Will you stop this nonsense? You are not going to Sara’s birthday party if you behave like this.” Bhagya had to use all her coaxing, cajoling, threatening and blackmailing skills, to finally get Arya ready after half an hour. “There you go. See how beautiful my angel looks.”

While Arya ate her breakfast, Bhagya ran upstairs to get ready herself. By the time they all left home, it was an hour late for school and her meeting at office had already begun. Just as she was locking the front door of her house, she got a call from her boss Khaled El Ajmi.
